One timid step at a time…

I have decided, at the ripe old age of forty, to finally take the first step to start my own blog-online zine. It’s named after the genus Elephas, because its single extant member, the species Elephas maximus (the Asian elephant), happens to be my favorite animal. These creatures fascinate me with their intelligence, their unassuming nature, and their diligence. To me, they represent what the humankind should strive for.

On the pages you’ll find musings on philosophy, arts, music, and politics. Think of it as some kind of an online fanzine (do you remember those?) Right now, I’m the sole writer, but I hope to convince a friend or two to make their own contributions some time in the future.

So, here’s to a new beginning.
